Have you heard of the Smash Cake Tradition? For those who don’t know what this is all about, it’s mainly giving your baby a little cake to do whatever they want or choose.
Some babies might not go after the cake, but it can be a nice picture souvenir for your baby’s first year!
I had the chance to meet the great and talented photographer from Un_instante_en_Paris, here in Paris, and we collaborated on Raphael’s Smash the Cake pictures. My little boy wore just some pants without a t-shirt while my good friend Paola made his little cake and decorated it with Mint color Frosting.

Han escuchado hablar de la tradición del Smash the Cake? Para los o las que no conocen, se trata de un pastel que se hace en el primer cumpleaños de un bebé para que lo aplaste o haga lo que quiera con el. No todos los bebés reaccionan igual, algunos querrán hundir sus manitas o jugar con el y otros no le harán caso.
Tuve la oportunidad de conocer recientemente a una excelente fotógrafa aquí en París con quien hicimos una colaboración y realizamos esta sesión de fotos. Les comparto aquí su cuenta de Instagram para que descubran su trabajo. Vestí a mi pequeño con un pantalón, tirantes y sin camiseta. El pastel lo hizo mi amiga Paola y lo decoró con un frosting de color menta.
